Caribou Bill was a star sled driver in Alaska, racing his team professionally. He drove them overland from Valdez, Alaska, arriving at the fair on opening day. He performed throughout the fair; many visitors had their pictures taken in his sled which used wheels when no snow was available. After the fair he travelled cross-country to New York.
